PAYMENT PLAN POLICY
This Payment Plan Policy forms part of our full Terms of Service.
Last Updated: May 2026
At Lydia Beker Art, payment plans are offered to help collectors purchase original artwork in a way that is accessible and manageable. Payment plans are designed to reserve artwork while allowing the balance to be paid over an agreed period.
PAYMENT PLAN ELIGIBILITY
Payment plans may be available on selected original artworks at the discretion of Lydia Beker Art.
Availability of payment plans may vary depending on the artwork, purchase value, and current availability.
SECURING AN ARTWORK
A deposit of 30% of the total purchase price is required to reserve an artwork under a payment plan arrangement.
The artwork will be removed from sale and held exclusively for the purchaser once the deposit has been received.
The artwork remains the property of Lydia Beker Art until full payment has been received.
PAYMENT PERIOD
Payment plans are generally available for a period of approximately 6 to 8 weeks unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Payment schedules will be discussed and agreed upon prior to commencement of the payment plan.
Where reasonable, extensions may be considered in special circumstances and at the discretion of Lydia Beker Art.
MISSED PAYMENTS
If a scheduled payment is missed, Lydia Beker Art will generally attempt to contact the purchaser to discuss the situation and provide an opportunity to resolve the matter.
Open communication is encouraged wherever possible.
Where payments become significantly overdue and communication has not been received, Lydia Beker Art reserves the right to review, suspend, or cancel the payment plan arrangement.
If a payment plan is cancelled, the reserved artwork may be returned to sale.
CANCELLATIONS
If a purchaser wishes to cancel a payment plan before full payment has been made, they should contact Lydia Beker Art as soon as possible.
Any refund request will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Where appropriate, amounts paid may be retained or partially refunded to cover reasonable administrative, holding, and opportunity costs associated with reserving the artwork and removing it from sale.
Any refund provided will be determined having regard to the individual circumstances and applicable legal obligations.
DELIVERY OF ARTWORK
Artwork will not be shipped, delivered, or made available for collection until full payment has been received.
Shipping and delivery arrangements are governed by the Shipping & Handling Policy available on this website.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW
Nothing in this Payment Plan Policy excludes, restricts, or limits any rights or remedies available under Australian Consumer Law.
Customers remain entitled to any consumer guarantees and remedies that apply under law.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
Lydia Beker Art reserves the right to update or modify this Payment Plan Policy from time to time.
Any updated version will be published on this website with the revised effective date.
